Power & Architecture

Two independent 8-channel amplifiers in a compact 2RU chassis, each with its own dedicated power supply.

  • Maximum continuous power: 200 W per channel (8Ω, all channels driven).
  • Bridged mode delivers up to 800 W per channel (8Ω).

A robust design with ultra-low distortion ensures reliable performance for the most demanding loudspeakers.

Bridge to Power

In its base configuration, the Amplitude16 delivers 200 W per channel into 8 ohms and 400 W per channel into 4 ohms. For projects requiring even more headroom, channels can be bridged in pairs to provide up to 800 W into 8 ohms, making it ideal for driving the left, center, and right screen speakers or subwoofers.

This flexibility allows integrators to allocate power precisely where it is needed, maximizing performance on the most demanding channels while maintaining efficiency across the rest of the system. Whether used in single-ended or bridged mode, the Amplitude16 adapts to a wide range of loudspeakers and room sizes, ensuring uncompromised dynamics in any installation.

Connectivity

Connect via balanced analog inputs on dual DB25 connectors, which carry up to 16 channels in a compact, rack-efficient format.

For networked systems, choose the optional Dante input board, which integrates the same DAC architecture as Trinnov processors to ensure consistent transparency across the system.

Trigger inputs and outputs are also provided for seamless integration with automation and control systems.

Perfect Match with Altitude

The Amplitude16 is engineered to match the Altitude16, Altitude32, and AltitudeCI perfectly. Its input sensitivity is precisely aligned with the Altitude’s output, preserving dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio.

In large theaters with many speakers, this prevents the buildup of background noise that would otherwise become distracting. With the Amplitude16, the system stays silent when it should be, and powerful when it needs to be.

With the optional Dante input board, this same precision extends to a fully digital signal path, with shared DAC architecture ensuring identical transparency across processor and amplifier.

Audio over IP Ready

With its optional Dante® input board, the Amplitude16 is more than a traditional multichannel amplifier, it becomes a true networked component. This addition allows a direct digital connection from the AltitudeCI processor to the amplifier over standard Ethernet, simplifying cabling and installation.

By moving the digital-to-analog conversion stage inside the amplifier, the signal path stays shorter and cleaner, closer to the loudspeakers. The Dante® implementation uses the same DAC architecture as AltitudeCI, ensuring identical transparency and dynamic range across the system.

Together, the AltitudeCI and Amplitude16 form an end-to-end Audio over IP solution in just 5RU, combining audiophile-grade performance with rack efficiency. Whether in compact media rooms or large theaters, this pairing uniquely bridges uncompromising sound quality with the simplicity of AoIP.
